2006: Changing Direction

In 2006, Granzow sold his ownership with D1 and focused on setting business goals that would realign him with his original personal mission statement: “To be an example of a Christian man, husband and father. To use each day as an opportunity by making a difference in people’s lives. Developing the individual as well as the athlete. To hold myself and my athletes accountable by living up to a higher standard, while providing the best speed and strength training in our community.” In 2007, he founded M.A.D. (Making A Difference) Sports Training, a premier sports facility in Cool Springs, to provide athletes with the advance speed, strength and agility coaching to take their game to the next level. M.A.D. Baseball Academy, an affiliate of M.A.D. Sports Training, was started by Granzow in 2009 to educate young athletes in the game of baseball and prolong their career as far as possible by using the most advanced baseball instruction, strength and agility training.

Granzow is also very involved in the community. In 2007, he created the Foundation Coaching Men for Tomorrow which is a mentoring program for area football coaches. All those who participated in the program signed a pledge and committed to hold themselves to a higher standard, lead by example and make men out of tomorrow’s leaders. His reoccurring speaking engagements include Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Outside the Lines (Brentwood, TN). He is also frequently requested to speak at various events at Brentwood Middle and High Schools and area churches. Granzow is also an ordained minister. In January of 2015, he became the Campus Pastor at Lighthouse Christian Academy (Antioch, TN) where he mentors students who are struggling emotionally, physically and/or spiritually. Granzow developed a leadership/mentoring program for high school juniors and seniors during the 2014-2015 school year. He had 45 teens from the Williamson County, Tennessee area participate in the program in its inaugural year. Activities included hiking at Smith Park (Brentwood, Tennessee), reflection and discussing the book, “Fearless” about the undaunted courage and ultimate sacrifice of Navy Seal Team Six Operator, Adam Brown by Eric Blehm.

Granzow continuously seeks to further the spiritual and religious growth and development of individuals and organizations through various community outreach programs and activities. He founded Peace, Power, And Purpose Ministry Inc. (P3) in the Fall of 2015 to empower people to discover and achieve their purpose through personal accountability in a judgement-free atmosphere.

The Vision and Role of P3

In a society saturated with profanity, pornography, sexual impurity and drug and alcohol addictions, Granzow struggled with how he as a coach, father and husband could bridge the gap left by a culture sold out by performance, appearance, pride and diminishing self-worth after witnessing firsthand how these things are affecting and shaping this generation’s young men and their families. He felt compelled by his relationship with God to develop a vision for life. His goal: To mentor young men and adults and form a support system to reclaim a manhood free of pride, selfishness and false masculinity. As a result, Peace, Power, And Purpose Ministry Inc. was formed.

Granzow’s vision for P3 extends well beyond an audience exclusive of young men and adults. P3’s various community outreach programs/activities are designed for individuals, families and organizations and include, but are not limited to, physical training, accountability/mentoring partnerships, spiritual and family retreats and bible study/prayer groups.

Mission Statement of P3

Putting God’s love into action by empowering people to discover and achieve their purpose through personal accountability in a judgment-free atmosphere.
